Visiting Professor
The PPGEF, through the CAPES-PrInt/UFSC Program, under the subproject “Diagnosis and intervention for healthy lifestyles”, offers scholarship(s) to visiting professors to attract renowned scholars who are active and resident abroad.
The objective is to encourage the creation of partnerships and the initiation or consolidation of an existing research network, as well as to contribute to the maintenance or establishment of scientific exchange through action with the PPGEF and its different research groups.
The duties of the visiting professor will be to give courses, trainings, lectures or face-to-face seminars, preferably on topics of interest to the subproject “Diagnosis and intervention for healthy lifestyles”.
General conditions:
– The members of the national team, hereinafter referred to as host professors, will be able to propose the application of one or more visiting researchers in the subproject to which they are linked.
– The granting of scholarships to visiting professors will be via specific calls for applications.
– The duration of the scholarship is 15 to 90 days, non-extendable, according to the quotas approved for the subproject “Diagnosis and intervention for healthy lifestyles” in the CAPES-PrInt/UFSC Project.
Obligations:
It is the responsibility of the approved candidate to:
– Take the necessary measures, when applicable, to obtain a visa to enter Brazil (VITEM 1), valid for the period of the approved scholarship, providing for the possibility of extension, when necessary.
– Ensure and monitor the planning, organization and execution of the activities provided for in the Work Plan.
– Perform activities related to graduate studies, including developing research activities, giving courses, lectures and seminars, participating in classes, and interacting with the faculty and students of the graduate program.
– Follow all CAPES legislation, including obligations to receive aid and accountability.
It is the responsibility of the host professor to:
– Guide and advise the approved and selected candidates in whatever is necessary to travel to Brazil, including visa application, housing arrangements and health requirements.
